Faith | Things have felt different with my husband lately, and I couldn't figure out what it was, transit-wise. I just checked our progressed composite and the ASC is at 0 Virgo. Maybe that's it? Anyone else notice a change when the pr comp ASC changed sign? |
Faith | My pr moon @ 29.44 Leo...that could be part of it. Temporary attunement to the ASC, along with it being at a critical degree. Hmm. |
DopGang | I don't have personal experience (that I know of) but I'm a big believer in progressed. If I were to guess. Maybe as a couple you need to socialize more, get out, treat yourselves to some beautiful surroundings. Granted, I haven't a clue about how your marriage is or what feelings of change that you have. But I'd interpret it as going from introvert to extrovert, as a couple. |
yungang_grotto | I was with a partner whose pr. Venus went from Leo to Virgo and there was a huge marked difference in his attitude. Virgo is in it for the long haul, relationship wise; especially a few Virgoan Venuses I know have just been so crazy practical that they sneered at expressions of fun and sentimental romance--to them 20 year plans were romantic Anyway that's slightly off topic. But the transition from Leo to Virgo does seem a particularly sobering one. Like,!Leo is just laughing and laughing and then all of a sudden there's this silence. Time to get down to work. Do the thing. Yknow? Is that kinda. .. well I'm curious how it feels for you. Gonna be different for everybody. |
DopGang | Progressed moon in an individual chart is something that I don't hold high in regards to big events unless accompanied by other things. But I definitely think it's noticeable as an emotional change. Maybe your emotional nature feels out of synch with your relationship direction. Like you're finally catching up to the relationships direction and then bam, it's changing and one step ahead just as you're getting on board. I'm just taking stabs. |
yungang_grotto | I have my own queries about progressed composite Asc right now... Our composite Asc is very well aspected in the unprogressed form... and there is a trine to it from progressed Juno and Chiron, which are conjunct at the pr.midheaven.. but those two are squaring the progressed composite Asc., as well as a schwack of other things. Not sure how to weight aspects, progressed-natal/comp vs. progressed-progressed, you know? |
yungang_grotto | I personally take the progressed moon very seriously indeed. This moment in time matters, each building on the next, or contributing to the Web. The pr.moon is a powerful timer and while I agree it is coloured by whatever it touches and doesn't have inherent meaning of its own, still it does indicate the totality of the integral experience of the chart-bearer, and is thus inseparable from a wholistic understanding of their experience. To not count it would be to lose the minute hand on the progressed clock... it would be very hard to tell how close to the hour you were... it's essential. |

THAT IS EXACTLY IT! |

I'm happy you are firmly in the progressions camp. It's a healthy place to be. Yes, funny you mention beautiful surroundings because we've been spurging on re-doing the living room and it makes me so happy, to finally be getting it the way I've wanted it. Like we both know, we need this. quote: Originally posted by DopGang: Maybe your emotional nature feels out of synch with your relationship direction.
It does! It's weird o.O Not typical...and confusing. Thanks for your insights, they're good!

My friend had something similar with pr comp sun-Neptune on the MC, versus sun-Venus on the MC in regular composite. I was telling her, "People may think you two are delusional but then see the underlying love." (Simple interpretation for their situation, regardless of astrology. But the charts supported that idea.) Hmm but it's different because I was sticking to progressed comp MC *or* regular composite MC. I think mixing them would be too hard to interpret. Though Ceri always pulls stuff out of her hat to make amazing astrology stories |

I love that but...it doesn't have an inherent meaning of its own? Then what's my excuse for posting like 5,000 times here since my pr moon went into Leo? |
yungang_grotto | This is based on some stuff in Predictive Astrology- The Eagle and the Lark by one Bernadette Brady, who maintains that the progressed moon does not have the same intensity or personal flavour or meaning as the other planets, or as the natal moon, but instead is so easily coloured and affected by all around it and that which it touches... it kind of comes round to having a great deal of meaning, but not the traditional lunar symbolism... not needy necessarily, not needful that is..m for instance... she describes it subtly and succintly,I'm trying to explain.. |
yungang_grotto | Yes, that pr. Leo moon has been shining bright now you mention it!!! Just basking in the Sun's light eh? Mmm. Heh, well, I'm open to new ways of seeing things always. I think the argument (if there need be one at all--questionable) revolves around the question of the importance of the moon in timing events attitudes and protocol, as opposed to feelings, mothering, the body--those things which are traditionally associated with the moon... we don't read into them as much with the progressed moon (according to Brady--and I have been practising with this in mind). Kind of a dispassionate moon--still affected? But less... something. Maybe. Maybe. |
Faith | Thanks for explaining...that's intriguing...I'm not really attached to any way of interpreting the progressed moon, so it will be good to look at charts with that in mind. |
Empty Spaces | Hey faith, good question! The old me is pretty much dead and i noticed that i started to change when my progressed sun moved to pisces. BUT then i have the transit pluto on my sun too..so who knows..I guess is a mix of everthing. Aww it makes sense.Im feeling so much more confident lately!Leo ASC at 0 degrees.
|
Faith | Hi Empty Spaces I love your picture, saw it on the picture thread but I don't comment there, since I feel obligated to comment on every pic. Anyway, you look like my nieces Progressions are wild, I hope you enjoy the new feel they give you! Are you sure your pr sun is in Pisces? Not Aqua? You're younger than me, same birthday, and I'm still in Aqua. Hmmm Not wanting to cast doubt but....hey my Saturn is right on your pr ASC...I guess that's my job for now. |
Empty Spaces | Do i look like them, really?that's cool. Thanks a lot for the compliment Faith!! Your picture is there too?there so many pages,i did not checked all. ------------------ I always had the feeling that i was doing something wrong.😂😂😂 I followed this method. quote: In a progressed chart, 1 year of your life is equal to 1 day, so for each year of your life, 1 day is added to your birth date to find your progressed chart (example: take a person born at 9:30a on March 2nd, 1975. This person would be 34 years old in 2009, so you would add 34 days to their birth date, making April 5th 1975 the date of their progressed chart).
So i put the 01/28/1993 date (since im 22 years old)on astro and clicked on "progressed chart"..what have I done wrong?I dont understand why my Psun is in pisces..😆😆 PLEASE dont quote♡ |
Faith | No my pic isn't there, sorry. You're not missing anything, trust me. K, I see how you got a pr sun in Pisces. What you do is, enter your actual birthday and select progressed chart, and they do the rest for you. Your pr sun is probably around 7 Aqua. |
DopGang | ^^^ Oh you and that modesty. Though I do it too, which kind of doesn't make sense. |
Empty Spaces | WHAT a mess I made thanks a lot for explaning to me.I guess the reason why i changed is only pluto's fault then. Since im clearly an amateur, can i bother you just a little bit more?Is cuz i noticed something weird.. uranus and neptune from (8H) are now in 7H. MARS from 2H is now in 1H Pluto from 6H is now in 5H..
Even chiron,NN and jupiter..lol is that normal? |

Faith | @Empty Spaces -- by the way I love your screen name-- Imagine that you printed out your chart on paper. That's your natal chart. And you have a clear plastic circle with the same twelve house divisions that you can lay over your paper chart. As you turn the "dial" of the plastic chart so the ASC moves forward, the planets you see in that plastic will appear to move backwards, at least the outer planets, since they won't be progressing fast and keep up with the ASC's pace. So if I you have your Pluto in the first house, as the plastic overlay ASC moves past it, Pluto is now falling back into the 12H. I hope that made sense? So, too, with these: "uranus and neptune from (8H) are now in 7H. MARS from 2H is now in 1H Pluto from 6H is now in 5H.." The house cusps on the plastic "dial" move forwards and leave the planets behind, to occupy the previous house. |
Empty Spaces | Thanks a lot Faith!GREAT explanation!! I love your screen name too.IS beautiful! |
Faith | Thanks! Mercury is Rx and I thought, surely I could have explained it simpler. |
